How to initiate a deposit

To transfer funds into Titan, simply tap the "+" button in the app's bottom navigation bar. You can also tap Transfers > Invest on the Account tab.

Once you’ve initiated your transfer, you can track your pending transfers by heading to the Account tab > History.

When funding, please choose a Checking account if possible. Savings accounts can work too, but can sometimes run into ACH transfer limitations (for example, exceeding monthly transfer limits) resulting in ACH transfer reversals.

How long does it take for my money to be invested in Titan?

All deposits are processed as instant deposits. Instant Deposits allow you to get invested in Titan within hours (or even minutes) of initiating a transfer to Titan. 

We aim to have all Instant Deposits invested within 2-3 market hours of transfer initiation at most. Depending on execution timing, some Instant Deposits may be executed within minutes of transfer initiation.

Instant Deposits initiated outside of market hours for equities or within the last ~60-90 minutes of the trading day may be invested at the beginning of the next trading day.

Specific timing estimates provided in the app are illustrative and for reference purposes only; actual time of investment may vary.

Tracking deposit status

To track the status of your deposit, simply head to the Account tab > History.

Your deposit status will also be trackable on the Home tab until it has completed processing.

Canceling deposits

To cancel a pending deposit, please go to the mobile app's Account tab > History, then tap the pending deposit and press "Cancel Investment".

Please keep in mind that once you submit a transfer to Titan, your deposit may be processed fairly quickly by our third-party brokerage service provider. Under that circumstance, we may not be able to cancel your deposit before it is completed. However, we will work with you to have your deposit transferred back to your bank account after the mandatory 5 business day anti-money laundering (AML) holding period.

Returned transfers

An ACH reversal is a cancelled transfer of funds. ACH reversals may occur under the following conditions: insufficient funds, wrong type of account (non-ACH transactional), duplicate transaction, or a declined transfer.

When reversed, funds will be placed back in the originating account and your Titan account will be charged a $30 fee. Reversal fees are charged by Titan’s clearing partner APEX, therefore Titan is not authorized to waive fees after they have been charged to your account.

You will be notified via email from Titan if there is an ACH reversal. Inquiries related to ACH reversal should first be directed to your bank.

To prevent any future reversals, we recommend doing the following before initiating transfers to Titan:

  • Verifying that you have sufficient available funds for 1-2 business days following your transfer request in the app, as the request might be delayed reaching your bank

  • Confirming that your bank account is enabled for standard outgoing ACH transfers, and that you’ve entered in the correct information when linking the account

  • Limiting transfers from savings accounts, as they might not be ACH transactional or limited to 6 transactions per month (including any small amounts transferred when linking a bank account manually)

Automatic deposits

Titan allows automatic deposits for users that want to contribute regularly to their Titan accounts. 

To see your automatic deposits, head to the Account tab > Transfers > Automatic Deposits

We currently support weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and custom deposits of at least $100. Each client is permitted a maximum of 1 automatic deposit per Titan account.

We recommend users contribute regularly to their Titan accounts as a general investing best practice. Automatic deposits is an easy way to do so. However, we don't have a specific recommended frequency/amount for automatic deposits, as it depends highly on personal financial situations.

Transfers greater than $50,000

For security reasons, we are only able to transfer a maximum of $50,000 into your Titan account each business day.

If you initiate a transfer greater than $50,000, we’ll automatically transfer up to $50,000 from your bank account to your Titan account every business day until your full transfer value has been fulfilled.

If you initiate a transfer(s) that causes your total daily transfers to exceed $50,000, that transfer(s) will be delayed until the next business day. We'll then automatically re-try that transfer(s) from your bank account to your Titan account each business day thereafter until the transfer value(s) has been fulfilled.

Note that we also support wire transfers, which do not have a daily transfer limit.
